Pelican’s Nest Golf Club
The Nest – as it is affectionately referred to by residents and members alike – is one of Southwest Florida’s premiere private golf clubs. The club was created in 1985, when golf architect Tom Fazio was invited to craft Pelican’s Nest Golf Course. The golf courses have been recognized every year since 2001 by Audubon International, with a Certificate of Achievement as a “Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary”, a testament of our membership to protect and enhance our environment. Golf Digest writers hailed Pelican’s Nest as their first choice of courses to play in Southwest Florida. With 36 newly renovated holes of golf, The Nest offers an ideal golf experience.
Pelican Landing is centered on the Tom Fazio designed, private member-owned, 36-hole Pelican’s Nest Golf Club. Pelican Landing also distinguishes itself by being the only community in the area to own a private barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico. The island a 34 acre beach park with sugary sand beaches and miles of walking with absolute privacy, a beach shuttle, an elevated beach house with restrooms, shower facilities, a nature library, two sun decks, a large screened in pavilion, lounge chairs, picnic tables, grills, umbrellas, and onsite rangers. Residents have daily access via (2) community run boat shuttles.
Other Pelican Landing amenities include a state of the art 4,400 square foot fitness center, bocce ball and pickle ball courts, championship tennis with 12 Har-Tru tennis courts, full time pro and pro shop, pickleball and bocce courts, sailing club, docking and launch facilities, three canoe/kayak parks and a children’s playground.
